Beach Condo Transformation

When Staging a home, I love to create "Lifestyle" scenes. Imagine yourself waking up each morning to a beachfront view with a warm cup of coffee or tea.

Now this is what a Master Bedroom should look like. Simple changes like de-cluttering, new paint color, new bedding and accessories really enhance the look of a room.

Too much clutter in the corner. We're gonna clean-out and clean-up.

Simple changes really made this bedroom sparkle. The Murphy Bed had to stay due to the budget.

Ilini Condo - Ft. Lauderdale Beach Blvd. STAGED & READY TO BE RENTED

My photographer and I just finished shooting photo's of my latest Home Staging project, a (1) Bedroom 2 Bath condo located on beautiful Ft. Lauderdale Beach. It's an older building built in the late 60ties, but packed with a nice open floorplan and beautiful views of both the beach and the marina. I should have photo's in a day or two. Can't wait to post. This condo needed a "PLACELIFT", and the budget was tight, but I pulled it off. All I can say is, "the power of paint."

Stay-tuned for coming details and pics of the "before" and "after". The Staging Diva continues to look for more projects. Happy Decor

What a DIFFERENCE!!

The installation of the new Hurricane Impact windows have been completed!! What a difference new windows can make to an older home. I'm going for a contemporary look, and I'm getting it.
Stucco work has begun, and then we'll be moving on to painting the exterior. From this point forward it just keeps getting better.
The electrical work has begun for all the new recessed lighting. This home had very little general lighting. The kitchen and bathroom design has begun, and I should be receiving a quote soon for material and installation. The entire Master Bathroom floorplan has been redesigned.
I'll be sure to take a picture this weekend so you can see what I'm working with.
This weekend is going to be very exciting as I am hosting, ART, WINE & DESIGN Property Preview in Plantation Acres. I will be showcasing my design work, love of Art and talking to Realtor's about Home Staging. I've been working hard all week to plan this spectacular event.
I'll be sure to update you on the outcome. Check back next week to see and hear more about all the happenings and design projects.

New Window Installation

The installation of the new Impact Glass Windows and doors has begun. What a major transformation!! We have started at the back of the house and will work our way around to the front. New windows and doors make an immediate impact on a old house. Once the stucco work and exterior painting has been completed, it will look like new contruction. The Master Bathroom demo work has been completed. It has great space, but had a terrible layout. The new layout will be far more effecient with the new addition of a spa whirlpool tub and private water closet (tiolet room). I have secured some of the flooring for the house which will be a combination of tile and wood floors. I'm evening thinking about restoring the old Terrazo floors on the South side of the house. Terrazo is a Mid-Century flooring design feature popular in homes built in the late 60's and early 70's. The cost of a Terrazo installation today is $30.00 a square foot. It's in pretty good condition, and restoration will be less than new floors. I still have a lot of finish selections to make, so I'll keep you posted on what I find. Stay tuned to hear more about the kitchen project. It's gonna be FAB!

New Project in the heart of Plantation

This is such an exciting project for me because it's mine! A complete renovation from top to bottom. This is a ranch style home built in 1967. Located on the 11th hole of the newly renovated Plantation Preserve Golf Course & Country Club. The view is stunning, with a breath-taking water view and beautiful evening sunsets. I'll be taking you through the entire process of this personal project. Be sure to keep up as things will be progressing pretty quickly, or at least so I hope. What's the design style? South Beach. Cool colors that are easy on the eye. I'm going for a relaxed feel that's warm and inviting. There will be lots of demo, remember the house is "old".
The entire back of house is glass, so yes I have ordered Impact Windows. I don't want to take any chances should Mother Nature decide to pay us a visit if you know what I mean. So, stay with me on this journey, and watch the transformation begin.
